(EGA Bylaws, Article II)
Both day and evening groups will be working on a crewel project taught by Terry Mullen. This is a small project featured in the June 2010 NeedleArts magazine. We will be stitching the “Field Flower” on page 35. The materials list is in the magazine, but here is the list again: - 2 pieces of lightweight cotton (I used bleached muslin), color of your choice. The pattern should be drawn on one piece of fabric, and the fabric should be large enough to fit in your hoop or on stretcher bars. You may reduce or enlarge the pattern to your preference. - Sharp needles - DMC #s 153, 155, 520, 522, 524, 745. PLEASE NOTE: These colors and fibers are only suggestions. You may wish to use crewel wool, silk, etc. from your stash. - Original magazine This is a beginning crewel project, and we will be doing several kinds of stitches, which are nicely diagrammed in the magazine.
