Spring Fling begins at 10 a.m. at the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum at 7010 Lakeport Road, Chitte-
nango. This year, we have two programs that should be great fun.

First of all, our Kidney Challenge for cash prizes where you will be voting for the winners of the competition.

We will also hold our EGA Auction. It promises to be great fun and all of the money raised goes to our Education Fund. So, clean out those closets and tote bags with stitching related items you no longer want or need and donate them to this great cause. Please pre-sort your items before arriving.

Kidney Challenge

We have planned a challenge event honoring and celebrating Bobbi’s successful kidney transplant. July 21, 2009 was Bobbi’s one year anniversary. In honor of this, she gave all of us some green DMC floss. This color represents the green ribbon for organ donation. The idea is to advocate and bring about greater awareness for organ donation as well as to celebrate this miracle of life. Let’s face it, most of us know very little about organ donation and the transplant process unless you or someone close to you has had a need or actually experienced organ replacement.

Our challenge to you is to create an item using a kidney shape. The medium you wish to use is up to you. You are only limited by your imagination and creativity.Winners of this challenge will be selected at the Spring Fling by popular peoples vote. Prizes will be awarded. First place is $25.00, second place is $15.00 and third place is $10.00.
