Outreach Project – led by jeanette Shorney
We will again be making the drawstring bags for the Department of Social Services to be used when they go into a home and remove a child from a very difficult situation. The child’s belongings are put into the bag and the child gets to keep the bag. One-yard pieces (60” preferred but 45” OK) of material (appropriate for young children up to teenage years). If you have half-yard pieces, two can be pieced together. Ribbon for the drawstring is also needed. More sewing machines and sergers are needed to streamline the process of making them. Last year we donated more than 125 bags!
